Service Description

Objectives: 1. Familiarize on the nature of conflicts, features and approaches of EDRMP, CDTs, and NCV; 2. Develop a conflict scoping report and determine situations where EDRMP is the appropriate dispute resolution approach; and, 3. Demonstrate non-violent communication in a conflict situation. MODULE 1: NATURAL OF CONFLICT & EDRMP AS AN IMPERATIVE MODULE 2: CONFLICT DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS MODULE 3: NON VIOLENT COMMUNICATION The first course introduces the learners to the essential concepts, approaches and characteristics of Empowering Dispute Resolution & Management Processes (EDRMP), as well as the Non-Violent Communication (NVC) and its importance to practicing and aspiring community mediators. Hence, the course 1 is entitled, “EDRMP & Non-Violent Communication.” EDRMP is a flagship innovation in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) developed by the Mediators’ Network for Sustainable Peace (MedNet), Inc., a 20-year old impartial and independent Non-Government Organization (NGO) working to empower conflict-stricken communities in the country achieve sustainable peace and development. This course is part of the four (4) Enhanced EDRMP training courses, also written as, “e-EDRMP Training Courses.” As an enhanced CapDev, the e-EDRMP trainings use an adaptive management which indicates each training course could lift learnings from sessions and tests them in order to develop more adaptive and improved training modules. All four training courses are stand-alone courses but are also designed in a modular form. Four certificates will be given to learners who successfully complete the entire e-EDRMP trainings.
